‘Anak Baba’ in Brickfields. Yummy food, good price + amazing OOTD spots

If you are looking for a new spot in KL for yummy food with affordable pricing AND has ample OOTD spots to fill up your Instagram feed, Anak Baba is the place.

Recently opened in Brickfields, they are the sister outlet of Baba Low’s in Melaka. You may have also visited 2 of their other outlets in Bangsar with the same name.

Came here for, the Nyonya food. Place looks pretty, & food is good.

Just look at that shopfront. Can you imagine all sorts of photos you can take here?

If you are just passing by, you definitely won’t notice the beautiful interior design of this place. With natural lighting inside the restaurants, all your food photos will definitely look amazing.
Oh guess what, it’s very ‘chill’ inside as well cos the playlist was filled with songs by Ed Sheeren, Adele… etc.

I ordered the nasi lemak which costs RM7.80. If you choose to add extra Ayam Goreng Kunyit, then it’s RM15.80. The rice is rich with coconut milk fragrant and the sambal is very refreshing.

If you are into noodles, then this one is for you. Mee Goreng Nyonya (RM8.80) is fried in dark sauce and served with pineapple sambal belacan. Tastes a bit like konloh(dry) noodles but the key selling point here is definitely the sambal with pineapple.

Again, the interior is simple but captivating. (That’s if you are into these kinda ID styles)

They may not have pages of food options but the ones they have here are definitely good enough for lunch or dinner.

The cendol, however, wasn’t what I was expecting. It lacks of gula melaka.. hence the very bright white colour instead of brown. But still quite OK lah for RM5.80.

So there you go. My recent discovery of this amazing spot in Brickfields. Go check it and take more Instagram photos 🙂
