Now that Hatyai is done, let’s get back to our regular programming. :D

Months back, we went for dinner at Gardens Cafe at the Curve to celebrate Rames’ birthday.

Check out the food we ordered.

This was mine. Too small portion. Dont order this.

Too dry. Better order something else.

Jacklyn ordered this. She complained that it was tasteless.

This was great according to Rames.

Group shot of us Siao Gang & Friends before we cut cake sing song.

After that we went for drinks at Craft Brews.

Wong Tai Seen(黄大仙) Temple

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

One of the most famous temple in Hongkong, the Wong Tai Seen temple, is visited by thousands of people during Chinese New Year.

We purposely made a trip there to see how it’s like.

The temple was really packed with people from all walks of life holding jossticks walking around and praying..

This was where they lit up the jossticks.

My purpose there was just to take photos.. I walked up down left right pushing myself through the human jam to try to capture some nice shots. Many were staring at me lol.

… and I was stucked.. stood there dono whattodo.. ohnoes

At the side of the temple was where all the forture tellers were. “Speak In English” wor.. so high class wan..

Group shot before we left for lunch!

Hongkong NewYear Parade!

Friday, July 30th, 2010

OK so we got back to Hongkong at about 5pm and we rushed to Tsim Tsa Tsui for the New Year Parade which was about to take place 2 hours later.

Most of the roads in the city was closed down for this event.

Stood there for about 1hour + and it still hasnt started. The roads were already filled with humans..

Camho time! Widelens rocks.

As the parade was about to start, the crew were walking around giving out these famous ‘lou poh’ biscuits. Damn nice! Especially when we were really hungry

The event finally started. TVB artiste started appearing and gingerman made its appearance.

More fluffy balloon characters appeared.

We were too hungry we couldnt stand it anymore. Skipped the parade and went for dinner instead. Haha.. so that concludes my 2nd day in HK during CNY.

New Year Fair in HK

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Here comes the “Far see” post!

Far See aka New year fair aka flower fest… or whatever you call it… is held every year on the night before Chinese New Year. It starts from around 7pm til the next morning.
Traditionally, they sell new year stuff like flowers, decorations, food… and mostly flowers lah… but I realised its totally different from what I used to see on TVB dramas.

They now sell plush toys, plush toys… and plush toys. Check it out.

I think the fair is now sort of like a youth carnival… with all these ppl setting up booths to sell stuff. They even had Facebook cookies. lol

The person in front of me was holding this. Since it was so packed we couldn’t walk at all, I took hundreds of shots of this and this is one of them.

We were separated with our relatives.. so no choice.. we had to walk by ourselves.

These guys here were shouting their lungs out selling boxers. ahahha

In a competitive new year fair.. everyone was trying to stand out to potential customers.. mr sheep also got… spongebob also got… everything lah!

I nearly bought this tiger hat! ahahah it was in conjunction with the tiger year… but too expensive. HKD$45… means about RM21.

If standing on chairs and tables were not high enough…

OK YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS VIDEO.

YOU WILL NEVER SEE A SCENE LIKE THIS ANYWHERE.

Check out Causeway Bay at 12 midnight. You cannot imagine. You have to watch the video.

This is Causeway Bay

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Ok now lets get back to my Hongkong posts.

After arriving at the hotel and met up with my relatives, we were too hungry we went to look for food right after we checked in. lol

I recommended Cafe de Coral aka “Tai ka Lok” as it was nearby. So we all rushed there to fill our stomachs. From the menu you can roughly see if the food is expensive or not

I ordered this. SUPER BIG PORTION. HKD$36.. means about RM18.

Ok group shot after eating. It was on the eve of CNY so considered reunion dinner lah ahaha

Went back to the hotel to check out our rooms.

View outside was great. Check out the night scene here. The brightest part at the bottom right was the flower market aka “Fah Si” which we went.

Next up! I’ll be showing you what is the Chinese New Year Flower market all about. Stay tuned!
