A Day Out with the All New Honda FREED

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Last weekend I was at the Advertlets outing with the new Honda FREED.

We got to test drive the new Honda MPV from KL to Putrajaya and back and had lotsa fun! Free food too! ahahhaa

The moment I arrived at Soul’d Out, Hartamas, which was the gathering point, I was surprised to see a fleet of them FREEDs outside. Woot!

Everyone was then asked to join the briefing and breakfast session in the restaurant. We were briefed on the features of the new FREED and were given details on our outing journey.
According to them, the FREED is in it’s own category, which is: A Mini Premium MPV. It is fitted with the 1.5 Honda i-VTEC Engine that gives 118PS at 6,600rpm, 114Nm at 4,800rpm.

32 Advertlets bloggers were there. Didnt have the chance to camho with all of them. Here are Ellie and Ewin.

Also met Arystle and Jing Chong.

We then started off our journey to Putrajaya! The whole trip totaled up to 80km, which means all 4 bloggers in the FREED got the chance to drive 20km each. The organisors also provided lots of snacks and drinks in the MPV for us to enjoy. BEST!

The convoy stopped at the 20km mark to exchange drivers. We then took a JUMP shot! :D :D:D:D:D All 4 of us were in the same car. Ewin, Rames, Ellie and me.

The fleet of 8 Honda FREEDs then resumed the journey.

There was a polaroid camera in the MPV too! That’s cos they had a contest for us to submit our most creative shots to win some prizes at the end of the day.

We finally arrived at Putrajaya. Games and some activities took place.

One of the Honda crew was my ex-classmate! ahaha hello Monique! :D

A group shot of all the bloggers and Honda crew.

Ewin drove the FREED back to KL. Check out the speed yo! :D

Nian Gao at Ewin’s!

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Ok one of the last visits during Chinese New Year few months ago… was to Ewin’s house! Some of us were invited; Mynjayz, Bryan, YvonneSim, Leonard, Yinxie, Jon and me.

We were chillin in his room. He then showed us his collection of yoyos. FUAH! We all were shocked. hahah. Memang Yoyo Sifu ni.

Aunty were kind enough to prepare some hot and sticky “Nian Gao” for us to eat. Nian gao is like some sticky glutinuous rice thingymajig which symbolises “progression”… good luck in Chinese beliefs.

Super nice! The nian gao tasted a lot better when warm and dipped in coconut.

Ewin’s dad is a gym instructor and he has a lot og body building equipments at home. He was showing us some gym materials and equipments and got us excited and wanted to try.

He then guided us on some exercises. ahahha

We had fun la overall. Learnt some stuff about building body.

Ok the night ended with a group shot.

All the furniture in Ewin’s house is red. Wahlao… really HUAT AH!

After the forest walk, our next task was to go to this shop in town and buy stuff which totals up to exactly RM50.. no more no less.

A bus took us from the hotel to this shop in town called WIRA GAYA for us to spend the RM50 given to us by Sony.

This was our bus.. taken using sweep panorama on the WX1

Everyone discussing about their respective strategies to win.

Iz us and the 50 bucks!! ahahah TIME TO SHOP AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE!

This was how the shop looked like.

While my teammates were shopping, I went around the shop to take photos.. ehehe

Task was completed in about an hour and it was time for lunch… we got back into the bus and off we went… to another location.

We went for lunch at this weird looking restaurant that serves chinese food. hmmm… everyone was hungry AGAIN lol

NEXT UP::::: Why is everyone standing there with a camera? What’s with the big eagle in the background?

A bit late for this but better late then never! ahahahhaa

Congrats to the Malaysian under-23 football team – the Harimau Malaysia – for beating Vietnam 1-0 in the finals of the South East Asian Games (SEA Games) recently.

I as a Malaysian, feel proud for u guys yo!!! After 20 years of wait… (lebih kurang my age… actually I very young wan.. about 20 years old oni) we finally win!!! ahahahha oh congrats also for beating defending champions and favourites Thailand along the way.

Sebenarnya…. if you want to congratulate the Harimau Malaysia guys, YOU CAN!
Nike Malaysia has set up two walls at its flagship stores in Pavilion KL and MidValley Megamall from today onwards where you can leave your wishes and notes.

The walls along with your messages will then be presented to FAM and the national players so they can read what u write on ze wall.

Ahahahaha u know what? As I was typing this… I suddenly thought of writing some message and include my blog URL on the wall… eheh free advertising.. not bad kan?

OK lah…. anyways……. to everyone who participated in smashpOp’s Christmas Giveaway!

Results will be out on 24th Dec 09. WATCH OUT FOR THAT YO!
