R.age Photowalk To Pudu Market. Showing The ‘Old’ To The ‘Youngs’.

Friday, September 9th, 2011

Many months back @thestar_rage organised a photowalk outing for readers who wants to learn photography and is new to cameras and photowalks. Many has registered but there were only spots for 15 people.

They contacted me, Jason Lioh and Robin Wong and requested for us to guide these young people who were interested in photography in this photowalk. We were more than happy to guide and share some tips with them.

We met up at Pudu LRT station and introduced and got to know each other.

Then we were separated into 3 groups and went own ways to explore the old and still very alive Pudu Market. In my group were Nicholas, Amy and Phyllis.

As we walk towards the market, we took some photos along the way. Here I told them to snap the roadsigns as they symbolize the area and usually people love taking roadsigns. That’s Nicholas in action.

Amy then took some as well. Suggested her to take some close up shots to show the details of the sign.

This photo was taken as a demonstation on how to talk to strangers and get them to pose for our photos naturally.

Fuh.. Phyllis and Amy non stop snapping everything in sight. Hehe..

“Don’t miss out old people sitting or standing alone!” I still remember what I told them. lol

A photo I took to show them what I meant.

OK MORE TOMORROW! Check out my POPVID 17 as I have videos of the photowalk featured in that episode.

Sunset At Avilion + 2 More Days!

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011

Remember my posts about my roadtrip to Port Dickson with my family from 2 weeks ago?

This is Part 3. :)

So we went to Avilion for dinner. I walked around the resort while my dinner was being prepared.

It was getting dark… and the lights were lit up. Great moment to take photos.

Nice view. Then it was time to go back to the coffee house cos my food was ready.

My pasta carbonara. Yummeh!

We walked out to the chalets after dinner. If only we were staying here that night. hehe

Posed for a last photo before we left and went back to our hotel which was Avilion Admiral Cove.

2 more days yo! DON’T MISS IT!

Fun Fun Outing With A.R Drone Quadracopter!

Saturday, July 2nd, 2011

2 weeks ago I texted Ewin and Xiang, “Hey wanna go fly helicopter using your iPhone and iPad?”

They were like “what you talking about?”

“Just come lah…. we go fly Drone”

So we went to the football field near Amcorp mall to play with my new toy, the A.R Drone… quadracopter controlled using iOS devices like iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

This is the A.R.Drone.
- Remote control quadricopter controlled by iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad
- Interchangeable hulls designed for both indoor and outdoor use
- Fly and battle with other Drone users via a Wi-Fi network
- Front-view camera with live video feed on your iPhone/iPod touch

… and this iz us.. with the Drone above our heads LOL.

The A.R.Drone comes with 2 protective ‘hud’. The 4 circles one is for indoor and the colourful-bug like one is for outdoor.

The Drone was really fun to play with.

All we need to do was just download the app from Appstore, launch it and connect it to the Drone. Thats all!

It comes with a big spongy bag for you to carry the Drone everywhere you want.

Check out the video of us flying it.. AHAHHAH super funneh.

So where did I get the A.R Drone from?

HERE! http://www.gottagrabbit.com So if you wanna get one for yourself, just come to this website and you’ll know what to do after that.

AHAHAH Candid shot. So to all iPhone iPad and iPod Touch users… let’s all go get the A.R. Drone and fly them together-gether!

So we hung out at the eagle ranch for a while here n there taking photos and it was about 6pm already.

A few more shots there and my aunt decided to say bye bye to the place.

Since we didnt have any plans, we thought of visiting the super posh Avilion resort.

So we drove there.. took us about 45 minutes.

The entrance of the resort was so serene.. felt very fresh. I like! .. too bad we didnt stay here that night.

On the way to the coffee house.. walked down this fleet of stairs..

Time for dinner!

I think the people at Port Dickson all damn chillingz.. the food took like an hour to come. wtf.

A Trip To Avilion Admiral Cove & Eagle Ranch

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

Few months ago, my family decided to do a roadtrip to Port Dickson for 2 days just for fun.

I recommended the stay to be at Avilion Admiral Cove since I stayed there before.

The view was not bad. This was shot right outside the coffee house. We were there for lunch when we arrived.

Some of the stuff we had. Club sandwich.. which was moderate.

… and nasi lemak.. which was bad. Took 10 years to prepare. I died of hunger halfway.

We then got into our rooms and settled our stuff before going out again.

Cousin wanted to visit the Eagle Ranch so we drove there. About 30 mins drive. I was here long time ago when I was in the TV reality show Double Exposure.

Got to touch the horse a bit when we were there.

Posed here there everywhere….

MORE PHOTOS NEXT!

This Home Is Not Where Your Parents Belong

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

So after leaving the orphanage, we went for lunch!

See how healthy we were… all greens! hahaa

All of us.

OK after lunch we continued our agenda that day.. to the old folks home.

Upon arrival, we carried all the donations into the home and passed them all to the person in charged there.

Then we started to mingle with the elderly. Realised that this lady here was very friendly and I talked to her the most throughout the whole session.

A tour around the house revealed to us their emptiness.

Why would their kids leave them here unattended? How long more do these elderly need to experience this miserable life?

Hope the things we brought and our presence contributed a little happiness into their lives.

Throughout the day we were chatting singing and played some games with them. Took a group shot before we left.
