2012 Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix Showcase

Monday, March 19th, 2012

The Formula 1 season is here and motorsports@PETRONAS is currently having an on-ground event at KLCC to let everyone feel the spirit of the race by exhibiting some F1 cars and extraordinary voice-augmented speed game which was superbly captivating.

How did I know all these? That’s cos I was there just now and I had great fun hanging out at the event and meeting new people with the same interest.

You may watch this video that sums up the whole night in 2 minutes.. or you can scroll down to look at the pictures.

So as mentioned, the event is currently being held at KLCC concourse. So from 17th March – 25 March, get to the venue to experience it yourself!

So we arrived there and registered ourselves before we embark on an incredible Formula 1 journey.

We were briefed by Miss Ezzan about Formula 1, motorsports@ PETRONAS and also the agenda for the night. We got to know sooooooooooooo much info which we were not aware of before this.

DID YOU KNOW that PETRONAS has already entered the world of F1 back in 1995? Since then, it has matured into global player with operations across more than 30 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South America.

See! You didnt know about this before reading this post right? Hehehehhe

We were then ushered to the Sound of Speed booth to participate in the funny yet exciting game which requires us to humm and adjust the loudness based on the racing track line on screen. LOOK HOW IMMERSED INTO THE GAME THIS BLOGGER WAS. lollolol

So if you wanna take part in this game, YOU CAN! Just go to www.petmos.com.my and you will get to play it from wherever you are. There are great prizes to be won too!

But if you want more action-packed activities, then you’ve got to check this schedule out:

20 March 2012
- Team visit to Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Plant (Pekan, Pahang)
- Children’s outreach programme (PETROSAINS, KLCC)

21 March 2012
- Meet the fans session (Suria KLCC Concourse)

On the Filharmonik entrance, there are 2 ‘floating’ F1 cars for us to check out. I did the smashpOp Jump there.

Everyone who walked by would definitely take photos of these cars.. so make sure you don’t miss them out when you are at KLCC!

DID YOU KNOW that PETRONAS has ventured into motor sports back in 1988 and this involvement has strengthened the company’s technological capabilities through continuous product research and development?

I planked too! Hahahah super fun. Would be better if the 2 beautiful ladies planked with us as well.. jekekekekeek

Then it was time for dinner at The Apartment. Yummy food.

Hello, General Manager Ms. Anita… nice meeting you :D

The night ended with some games, phone giveaways and group shot.

Met these guys back in Monte Carlo last time and they were in Sg at the same time as me.. hullo!

The next morning I woke up and enjoyed the view from MBS for the last time before I checked out.

Since it was still early, I went for a swim at the Skypark pool on the 57th floor rooftop.

Did the smashpOp jump before I entered the pool.

So that ended my stay in Singapore hosted by Nokia…

NEXT… my continued stay in Singapore hosted by Sony Ericsson.

After checking out from Marina Bay Sands, Chapree and I took a cab and went to Conrad Centennial Hotel to check in lol

MBS Jump + Singapore Chicken Rice

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

Part 1: My Journey to Nokia Connection In Singapore
Part 2: First Meal At Marina Bay Sands + Generous Nokia
Part 3: My Room At Marina Bay Sands [video]

Once I was done with the tour video of my room, settled luggage and stuff, I went down for a walk around the hotel as we had the whole first day free.

So here I am again in the lobby… the glass walls and roof look really amazing.

… and I walked across the road to the mall…

The same mall we had our first meal… it was seriously gigantic!

The other side of the mall… this Lotus building is actually a museum if not mistaken.

Finally did the smashpOp Jump yo!

So the whole day was just walking around taking photos and at night we were supposed to have a dinner together with the rest of the media and Nokia PR.. but I skipped it to meet my friend instead.

We went to an old coffee shop that sells very famous chicken rice.

… and then desserts!

The day did not end just like this… there was more to it… check back tomorrow yo!
