So our mission at Platform 9 3/4 was done.

We bid goodbye to King’s Cross station and off we went to another destination!

As we walked back into the station lobby, I was shocked to see that it was so crowded.

Waiting for the tube.

Posing posing a bit.

Here we are… next spot… LONDON BRIDGE! (is falling down? nope.. still standing tall).. that’s cos this was London Tower Bridge and not London Bridge.

IT WAS RAINING CATS AND DOGS but we had no choice. We ran in the rain towards the London Tower Bridge just to have a photo with it.

Oh London Tower Bridge.. you made us all wet… :P

Part 8: Fat Sausages & Ticket To Hogwarts!

So we took the tube to King’s Cross station as we were told that Harry Potter’s famous platform 9 3/4 is located there.

A bit shaky hands cos the train was not stable lol

Are we there yet? Is the platform really here? We were so excited!

We went up to check if we were at the right station

YES! LOOK! Platform 9 to 11! Hehe.. 9 3/4 HAS TO BE here!

The train station looked exactly like the one we saw in the early Harry Potter movie.. amazing!

We found it! Sadly the authorities have moved platform 9 3/4 to outside of the station for easy access by visitors… not genuine anymore.. :(

.. but nonetheless, we are here! London! King’s Cross! Platform 9 3/4! I hereby challenge Harry Potter to plank like me! CAN?

Part 7: Good Morning London!

After the morning stroll around the hotel area, I went back at 9am to have breakfast with the group.

Riley, Justin, Leveena, Me, Daphne and Yean Ching.

Brian, Tamara, Tata, Butthun, Kerati.

Although the food variety was not a lot but they were of great quality! The mushrooms and fat sausages were super yummy!

After breakfast, we made our way to the first destination, Harry Potter’s Platform 9 3/4 which is located at King’s Cross station. As we walked out of the hotel, we saw a cab parked outside with Air Asia adverts. So I quicked posed with it.. ahha support Malaysia!

FUAH! My first time being in London’s tube station! Excited.

Got our tickets and off we went!

But first… gotta go down to fleets of escalators.

So the next morning, we were supposed to meet up at 9am for breakfast. I woke up at 7 and went out to walk around the hotel area by myself. LOVE the cool air and the whole ‘London’ thing as it was my first time there.. everything looked interesting to me ahahahha

I came our from the hotel and I saw this..

If this was in Malaysia, I bet people would have stolen these and there would be no bicycles left

I then continued walking.. admiring the building architectures.. which we dont get to see here in Msia.

2 things that signify London.

People were all rushing to work I think.. they looked serious. Heh

Marks & Spencer! I went in to check it out and noticed that their version is so much nicer to shop in.. selling clothes, household items and groceries..

So we continued to walk and walk trying to find Trafalgar Square.

The guys were walking in a line so I quickly ran to the front to grab a shot

After walking for about 45 minutes we finally made it to 1st checkpoint! haha

Picadilly Circus… I’ve heard a lot about you.. and finally.. I can see you with my own eyes! Very busy district indeed even at midnight. Drunkards walking around.. weird looking people all standing there staring at us… ahah apparently it’s not that safe to walk around town at 1am in the morning.. but we survived!

There was an M&Ms shop there! Too bad it was closed…

As we continued walking we finally arrived at Trafalgar Square! It’s where the Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows pt.2 red carpet is gonna be at and look at the fans! They came queueing since 1 week before the event. CRAZY!!!

At about 3am we started walking back to the hotel and arrived at 4am LOL

Check out this video of the queue at Trafalgar Square.

So we started walking around town at midnight after our super late dinner.

Our objective was to look for Picadilly Square and Trafalgar Square but since none of us know the way, we had to rely on maps. :P

While Keith and Brian were figuring out the route, I camho a bit. lol

Some stuff we saw while walking.

Double decker.. zooming… geddit? lol

Crossing the road.

We stumbled upon Carnaby Street which looked interesting so we went in to check out the area

One of the buildings there which I find interesting.

MORE TO COME! For now, check out this video of us crossing the road lol

After checking in to the hotel and settled our luggages, we went out to search for food. It was already about 10.30pm and most of the restaurants were about to close. Luckily we found one nearby..

Brian, Leveena, Tata, Keith

The place was super super dark I had to switch to ISO 6400 lol hence the noise. They only had a few choices on the set dinner menu that night.

Justin, Yean Ching, Tamara, Kerati, Me

After 20 mins or so the food finally came.

Butthun, Daphne, Me, Brian

I had this. About RM130 after converted. Omg.

After eating.. it was already midnight… some of us went back to the hotel.. and the rest went to walk around town.

Part 2: Wow, Hello London! Nice to meet you. [video]

So we were still on the bus to the hotel and I snapped more photos of the things I saw outside.

The famous Royal Albert Hall! It is one of the UK’s most treasured and distinctive buildings opened by Queen Victoria long long time ago.

Then the bus drove us past the very first Hard Rock Cafe in the world. It first opened its doors to the public on June 14, 1971.

Double decker buses yo! Hello!

We finally arrived. It was the Washington Mayfair hotel. It was already 10PM and the sky was till bright! WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF MIND BLOWING.

At the lobby we were all given a Samsung Omnia 7 Windows Phone for us to use throughout the whole trip.

My room yo!

A look at the bathroom. Heh…

Part 1: The Flight To London [video]

Since the flight was 13 hours from Singapore to London, we had 2 meals and a lot of sleeping time in between hehe.

Lunch! I love flight meals.. said this a thousand times lol

Dinner! I think I love flight meals cos they r presented like a bento box.. which is fun :D

We finally arrived at Heathrow Airport! Group shot of everyone.. Bloggers and winners from Malaysia, The Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Windows Live crew.

We arrived at the airport at 8PM and the moment we stepped out I was shocked to see the sky was still bright.. bright like 4pm in Malaysia LOL where’s the dark skies yo? It’s freakin 8PM lol

While in the bus… all the jakun people like me… kept taking photos of the surroundings and the streets… ahah first time visit London ma.. is like that wan lor :P Check out the awesome Harry Potter promo! It’s like a welcome sign to us since we were there for the premiere.

WOWOWOW London cab! hahahah jakun again..

Then we were stucked in a traffic jam… but somehow the scene just looked a lot better than traffic jam in Malaysia…

WATCH THIS 8pm video! :D

More soon!

The Flight To London [video]

Friday, November 25th, 2011

So back in July I was invited by Windows Live to go on a trip to London to experience the Premiere Screening of Harry Potter’s last movie. IT WAS SUCH AN AWESOME TRIP!

Windows Live actually held a contest and they engaged 1 blogger in each country (Malaysia, Thailand, The Phillipines and Singapore) to promote the contest whereby they select 1 winner from each country to go to London. They were generous enough to invite the respective bloggers along too.

Now let’s take a look at the entire trip starting with these photos.

I had to take a flight from KLIA to Singapore to meet the rest of the people before we embark on our journey to London. I took this flight with Yean Ching, the winner from Malaysia.

Waiting to board the plane. Posed a bit. Taken using the front camera on the iPhone lol

After an hour flight, we arrived at Singapore airport and met up with the rest of the bloggers+winners there. Yean Ching and I took a few photos before meeting them.

It was my first time going on an Airbus A380 under Singapore Airlines. It’s their biggest aircraft!

I was glad they had USB ports so I could use my phone to play games while charging it in that 13 hours flight.

Daphne (Singapore blogger) and Justin (Singapore winner) were sitting same row as me.

More photos and videos next! For now, please watch this video below of us at Singapore airport and also some funny stuff in the plane
