As you might already know, I just came back from a media trip to Langkawi organised by Sony. The event is to launch the new Sony Alpha, Cybershot and Handycam products and expose them to the media.
As usual, here’s a summary of the event. We’ll start off with Day 1.. which was 8 Oct 09.
Took the ERL with Albert to the airport. Thanks for this shot, Al.
We then met up with the rest of the media members at KLIA… they were journalists and editors from publications like HWM, Stuff, PC Gamer, DCM, Click, etc etc etc.
We then took the 11am plane and arrived at Langkawi at noon.
Arrived at the The Andaman Hotel and was welcomed by a super big banner.
Checked in, got our rooms and headed for lunch.
After that we gathered outside the ballroom waiting for the launch event to start. Mingled around and camho-d.
It was a 6 hours talk about the new products with different speakers ranging from Sony bosses, staffs and experienced users.
We then got to try out the products. Some distinctive features I like on the A550 are: super hi-res screen, Auto HDR, Face & Smile Detection and 7fps burst shot.
For Cybershot TX1 and WX1, I like the Sweep panorama feature, Exmor R sensor for lowlight shooting, handheld twilight and 10fps burst shot.
Dinner was at 730pm… and the group discussion session took place after that til about 10pm.
Got back to our rooms, showered and it was time to relax…. we went to the lounge to chill, drink and chatted away til 4am… AHHAHAHHHHAHA
