Last week Advertlets organised a special screening of Nightmare on Elm Street for bloggers which took place at GSC Midvalley.
The story of this movie is about these group of teenagers who had nightmares about a burned man wearing clawed glove trying to kill them. The nightmares are so real they felt like its happening in real life as well and when they get murdered in the dream, they also die in real life.
Since they realized the scariness of the nightmares, they tried to stay awake so they dont get killed. After some of them got killed, the remaining ones slowly finds out that this actually links to an incident when they were small.
I’d say that this movie has got very interesting horror scenes and I especially like the transition between real life and nightmare. It’s often hard to differentiate the 2 worlds and that’s the frightening thing about the movie. Thanks to the talent n skill by the video director Samuel Bayer, we can actually feel how the casts in the movie felt in the story.
The effects are very appealing and there are some really horrifying scenes that got the whole cinema in tensed. I’d recommend this movie for all if you wanna experience these scary nightmares and revisit the once famous Nightmare on Elm Street story which made its debut in movie theaters back in 1984.
I rate it 7/10.
