Touring Incheon: SmartCity, Songdo & Dduk Bohk Gi

So this is post #2 of 4 of my Korea FM Trip by Air Asia X. Post #1 can be found here.

We woke up at about 7am to have breakfast at the hotel coffee house. Then we started our tour around Incheon at about 9am. That’s Fairuz btw.

The first place we went to was Compact Smart City. It’s a gallery of Incheon’s urban planning, showing the past, present and future of Incheon. They have a 5D theatre in the building!!! Must visit if u have extra time.

Jennifer Jung, the Assistant Manager of Marketing Planning Team for Incheon then joined us for the day tour. Super friendly lady. Looks like a Chinese and very helpful during the whole tour journey.

We then went for a boatride! They call it the water taxi. It fits 12 passengers and brings visitors around the lake in the center of Songdo Central Park. The boat ride is available from 10am – 6pm daily except Mondays. Fare for each person is 4,000 Won.. which is about RM12.

Here’s a video I shot when we were on the water taxi. MUST WATCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

We had lunch at the food + offices district in Songdo. These area has nothing but restaurants and offices LOL.

This is a very famous dish called Multeombeongi Stew. It’s the nickname for monkfish used only in Incheon. It’s low fat, high protein and strengthen’s our stomach and intestines. The price varies from 28000 Won to 58000 Won.

One of the tallest building in Incheon is located right opposide the water taxi port. The 68-storey tower has offices, residential spaces, hotel and shops. Amazing.

Dinner was at the same area we had lunch but another restaurant. This time we ate some barbeque spicy chicken with rice cake. Koreans call it Dduk Bohk Gi. Very spicy. The remainings of the chicken n gravy will be mixed with rice and fried with seaweed. One of the best dishes I’ve had during this Korea trip.
