3 months ago, there was a BIG BIG Twitter meet up in town. It was called ‘TwestivalKL’. It’s a part of the global Twitter festival that gather’s all Twitter users together and have fun and erm.. follow each other. LOL Oh and also to do charity! The event has successfully raised RM10,000 and it all go straight to Destiny Starting Point.
The event was held at Mist Club Bangsar.
We arrived quite early and everyone had to wait outside the club since the organisors were still getting ready for the event. (Howard,Me, Greg, Amanda, JonYKT)
This was how the inside of Mist Club looked like that night.
The organisers managed to get some big names to take part and sponsor stuff at the event… like 1901 Hotdogs, Starbucks, Poken Asia, Digi and Air Asia.
Jeremy, Mike and me enjoying our 1901hotdogs…
Another shot of us enjoying the hotdogs and beer. Woot! Best giler.
OK MORE PHOTOS TOMORROW!!!!
Speaking of charity….
In conjunction with World Aids Day, Nike and (RED) have teamed up in a campaign designed to fight AIDS in Africa.
As a result of this collaboration, Nike has came up with RED Laces, which are red colored laces that come complete with (NIKE) RED swoosh logo lace plates and lacetips, and the motto, “Lace Up. Save Lives.”
All 100% of the profits from the sale of these laces will go to the Global Fund and Nike football programs. Nike and (RED) are hoping that their unique partnership will support programs for prevention, treatment and education of HIV/AIDS.
Want to do your part in fighting AIDS? Simple.
Just purchase these Nike (RED) laces, retailing at RM15 which is now available at Nike Stores nationwide. All proceeds from the sale will be channeled to the Global Fund to help fight AIDS in Africa.
If you are on TWITTER, just add the hashtags #laceupsavelives or #red to your tweets in support of this campaign.
